Can you scream and still have a singing voice?
The answer is all in the technique.

If you choose a style of music that requires a certain amount of screaming, very loud singing etc, such as in rock bands, heavy metal bands etc, then I would certainly recommend some vocal exercises to relax the throat muscles more, and the most important thing would be to learn some very good diaphragm breathing exercises, so you are at least able to support those notes!

At least when you learn to control the diaphragm muscle you will be projecting the voice more, rather than just pushing notes out with the throat muscles.

Try singing notes softly when you are practicing and notice whether the vocal cords come together easily, or whether you have to force sound?
If you are needing more volume to make notes happen, then your voice is not in a very good condition.

My “10 Essential Lessons For Easy Singing” are designed to polish the voice and learn how to balance Air and Muscle evenly, thus producing sound easily at any level.
